⭐Tex Mex⭐- A lot of people don't really know what that means. Hundreds of years ago, when the Spanish arrived in the Americas, they brought with them non-native plants and animals. Over time the local native people began to incorporate these new foods into their traditional cuisine. It's the reason that Northern Mexico, places like Sonora, Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas, are known for their flour tortillas and grilled meats, especially beef. There were plenty of cattle and there was wheat, so the cuisine began to change and adapt. Borders are only imaginary lines, and what was once part of Mexico is now Texas. Over 300 years ago, this new cuisine formed, and in fact Tex Mex is actually America's oldest regional cuisine. ❤️❤️
